Please note that each session in the series is designed to stand on its own. Sessions 1 and 2 are not prerequisites, so you are welcome to attend this one whether or not you joined the earlier sessions.
The practitioners who will shape how AI gets used in the helping professions are the ones who can build, not just consume. This live online training offers a hands-on introduction to no-code tool development for practitioners with no technical background.
Drawing on examples relevant from micro to macro practice, the session surveys available tools, applies design thinking to identify problems worth solving, and addresses the privacy obligations that come with building on client-adjacent data. Participants will also see a full end-to-end build of a simple practice tool, narrated so they can follow the thinking behind each step.
The session closes with a practical framework for evaluating AI vendors for clinical fit, safety, and accountability: a skill every practitioner needs, regardless of whether they ever build anything themselves.

Learning Objectives
- Identify at least two no-code tools available for building AI-assisted practice tools and describe appropriate use cases for each.
- Apply design thinking principles to articulate a practice problem appropriate for an AI-assisted solution in their professional context.
- Describe at least two privacy obligations relevant to practitioners who build or deploy AI tools that interact with client-adjacent data, including PHI considerations.
- Apply a vendor evaluation framework to assess the clinical fit, safety, and accountability of an AI tool or platform used in their professional setting.
Presenter Yoni Neff, MSW, LMSW, is a licensed social worker and practitioner-builder specializing in AI applications in clinical and human services settings. He holds an MSW from the NYU Silver School of Social Work and has developed AI tools with direct applications in social work, including clinical simulation platforms and practice-oriented AI assistants.
